Easy Release by ApplicationGap replaces inconvenient paper model release and property release forms with a slick, streamlined application designed by professional photographers for professional photographers. Fully supports iPad, iPhone and iPod-Touch.

► Lets you collect all the data and signatures you need right on your iPhone, then mails a PDF and JPEG of the release right to you.
► Import model and witness information from your contacts. Get location data from a list of previously used.
► Comes pre-bundled with industry standard model and property releases in 13 languages that are currently in use by leading photo agencies like Getty Images, Alamy and others.
► Use the iPhone, iPad, or iPod-Touch camera to shoot and embed an ID photo right into the release PDF.
► Customizable “branding header” for logo image, company name, and contact info can be turned on/off per release or release type.
► Add your own TFCD, TFP, or any other kind of releases!
► Add as many custom model and property versions as you want.
► Custom releases may contain "field-placeholders" for inserting data into the body of your legal text. Simply prepare your custom releases in an email to yourself then copy/paste into Easy Release!
► Select legal text version to use on a per-release basis.
► For each release, you may specify an optional "Addendum" to legal text which prints below your text.

The Advanced Customization Pro-Pack brings additional professional customization features to Easy Release.
► Multiple Brands
You can define more than one brand, and easily select the brand you want on a per-template and per-release basis.
► Optional Fields
You can turn off some of the old built-in fields, and/or turn on some new built-in fields.
- You can choose to turn off Witness, Gender and/or Ethnicity.
- You can turn on Shoot End Date, which allows your release to cover a range of dates, rather than just a single day.
- You can turn on Other Names. This adds two fields to your release: Stage Name and All Other Names. Use this to help collect required 2257 information for your models and performers.
- You can turn on Compensation. This adds two fields to your release: Amount and Tax ID.
► Custom Fields
If the built-in fields are not enough, you can now add custom fields.
- As many as you want
- Three types: Text, Long Text, and Date
- Specify a label and default value for each one
- You can mark any custom field as 'required'
► Import/Export Custom Versions
Share custom templates via email. Recipients just click on the link in the email to import your template.

Good App but missing some features that could be helpful
I am enjoying the app and it is definitely worth the cost however I do wish there was a way to fully disable the photo requirement for each model release. Also it would help if the model names wouldn’t be organized in alphabetical order. When I am organizing the releases for a shoot ahead of time I enter the names in the order of my shoot schedule. It would be nice if they stayed that way, at least until they are signed .

It’s okay
Easy Release is nothing more than a contract app. It works as an intended and for some photographers that may just be perfect. The reason I give it three stars is that there are much better ways to do this. Most professional photographers will have some form of CRM to manage their business and most of those CRM‘s Have the ability to serve up contracts and pretty much the same way as Easy Release. The main difference, though is that doing it through a CRM puts it into your workflow in a way to manage that contact long-term, making it much more powerful. Yes, doing this through a CRM is more c

Security problem with Gmail is preventing the app from sending completed release emails.
The linked instructions aren’t updated for the current software version. Can’t even contact the developer from inside the app because those same security issues prevent sending them an email as well.

In the last year, I’ve noticed an increasing number of freezes, incorrect, formatting of pages, and other assorted bugs that are probably connected to updates in the operating system. Has crashed once or twice as well. Hoping for an update soon!

Advanced Options Pro Pack not working
I purchased the Pro Pack for one reason: when I read in the description that it gives you the option to “turn on end date,” which allows you to set a range of dates for a shoot. That’s vital for me; otherwise I would have to create multiple releases for a project extending over a period of time. But I can’t find anything that lets me turn on such an option, and I’m still stuck with a single date for the release. Please respond and help me fix this. If it can be resolved, I’ll add stars. As it is, I’m extremely frustrated.

A suggestion I think would be great is a counter at the top or bottom to keep tab of how many releases you have.

The best… but still not great
Functional but clunky.
Model release app that I have used for 10 years and recommend, the best, but definitely not a finished product.
When you’re done with a model release, you literally have to hit “cancel” about five times to get back to the main menu / start another release.
…and when you email a release there is nothing that says sent!
It works, it’s fairly intuitive, but it’s not simple or common sense.
Kind of halfway thought out and not a finished product.

Once I started to use this app I no longer had a need for paper releases. I can keep multiple versions of releases both property and model and customize them to fit my needs. In addition the back up to the cloud and email pdfs ensures that both the model and I have a copy.

Too cumbersome when processing multiple releases
I’m doing a photo essay of a specific population. At times, I can have several people lined up for a portrait to be included in the exhibit. This app is cumbersome and frustrating when trying to get a quick release. I’m no longer using this and am just using a paper form for them to fill out. Multiple people can be completing their releases, freeing me up to focus on the portraits.

I would steer clear of this app until they get it figured out. I purchased this app thinking it would be more functional and less glitchy than some free alternatives out there but this simply doesn’t work. When you try to send a shoot to yourself model and or not included (I tried both ways) it didn’t give me the option to choose an image size until I restarted the app. Then the swoosh sound that confirms an email has been sent decided to stop working. On top of that even when it did make a sound it never actually sent my test shoot. For $10 dollars seriously this is bad. I mind as well go bac

Great but not updated for over a year
Getty has a new enhanced release (that includes biometric data and machine learning clauses) and this app has not updated yet. You can add text yourself if you own the upgraded version, but I wish they would just update the default text or give an option for enhanced release.

This is a feature-rich release app which offers tons of flexibility for working photographers and videographers.
It could, however, use some stability improvements to work smoothly on the latest iOS builds - lack of updates, random crashes, failures to initialize, and intermittent hang-ups call into question the price tag on this software.

This app is extremely buggy, if you’re a professional and need to rely on acquiring a model release in an efficient and trustworthy system, avoid this app.
The creator of this app will reply to this and say that it needs to be deleted and reinstalled, it’s a red herring. Deleting and reinstalling the app, ensuring you’re on the latest operating system, clearing all the settings and starting from scratch, make zero difference for the fact that this app is flawed and needs major changes to be reliable and trustworthy again.

Horrible!
I used to like this app and used it for all my model contracts but now I cannot go back and select a contract that I created (but neither the model or I signed) to edit and sign. Once I create it and leave that screen it is “frozen” on the home page. I have so many contracts I created and now cannot even select to erase. Im using a iphone 11. Used to be a great app. I even purchased the in applications upgrades. Now worthless to me.
