Description

A go-to reference among French dictionaries: the TLFi. All you need is an internet connection to look up a word's definition, etymology, synonyms, antonyms, and morphology, or a verb's conjugation. The Trésor de la langue française informatisé (TLFi) is the digitized version of a sixteen-volume dictionary, with 270,000 definitions and 430,000 examples drawn from French literature. It's a resource as valuable to students and translators as to anyone simply curious about words. The TLFi also integrates with your system: look up a word with Spotlight, or check its definition from any app by selecting it and tapping "Share…".
