Dude this is still nascent but definitely feels like the future. Primal is a social app that sits on Nostr protocol layer which makes your content movable to other social apps also on Nostr; that means if you want to try other social apps that aren't run by a corporation that are also built on Nostr you can move your content and followers with just a copy paste of your social ID, not a login and content for each different social account. I discovered this app and protocol through bitcoin and in the beginning it was clearly a bitcoin heavy space. A beautiful, happy, and inviting space where I felt free to say what I want and the things others were saying were enlightening and sometimes making me laugh. Well developed app, packed with features. But most importantly, the user is in control. You choose what you see, no advertisements. The subscription is worth it to support the devs and keep the project alive. Last but not least, no forced data collection.

Nostr is the protocol that brings the social element to all of the web, and Primal has killed it in making one of the best clients out there for showing what can be done with it. Use it as my main driver daily.

Step up! Own your online identity. Don’t like Primal anymore? You own your identity, not them. You can take it to Damus or any other Nostr client, but for now, Primal is the best and they haven’t given me a reason to leave.

Wow, this was really easy to set up. So far it’s been easy to find & add friends too. So refreshing to scroll without endless ads & insane for you posts. Please try this for yourself, this is a gem!

Last week, I could modify various levels of zaps that I could automatically send. Now, all of my automatic zap tiers have disappeared and there is no longer any options to create any set level of zaps. Please advise? I am running the latest version (2.3.21)

Big fan of nostr. Primal app sets up a wallet for you so you can zap posts you like and i found setting up a wallet on amethyst and damus to be a pain. I also like the layout of primal quit a bit… much more intuitive to and old dude like me.

When it comes to onboarding, no client makes it easier for you to get up and running, especially if you sign up for premium.

Primal has always stayed on the forefront of this frontier technology. Ever improving features and UX. I will even say, earlier this year I left Primal and spent time elsewhere between 3 other Nostr clients, but this latest update has taken Nostr to another level of experience and i’m sure will be one of the first places for new users coming in

Is there a way to clear the cache? Has a better search feature than Damus. Replies are loading.

I’ve been looking for a simple and powerful social communication tool for Nostr, and Primal is by far the best. It was easy to get set up, easy to start posting, and easy to zap good content. It’s my go to Nostr tool and I highly recommend it!

It’s hard to know always what’s going on and sometimes we are just trying really hard to do the right thing. So many times we are let down. But we keep trying! I’m feeling good about Nostr and Primal, etc rn. It’s like I want to be here versus feeling caught in something. It’s like I am hungry for people’s input versus feeling saturated and dead. I’m excited about it🐢🤍🕺

Very smooth and fast. The feed is much more organized than damus. A lot of the problems I have complained about to the team have gotten fixed. The only thing that isn’t accurate on primal are note reactions. I have to check damus to see them more accurately. Also there seems to be a bug where I lose my relays sometimes when I switch to desktop. Once these issues are fixed I won’t have to use any other clients 💜

I have been extremely impressed with this app. I’ve been trying to find a way to interface with Nostr and tried a few options but Primal has been the best to date. The clean interface and SOLID Lightning integration is hands down the best I’ve seen. Decent search and VERY stable. If you are trying to figure out this social media alternative to Twitter, save yourself time and head…go with Primal. I still use Twitter but now Nostr has a solid app in Primal that I find myself opening it more and more. Very well done! And it’s free! Send these guys some sats. I did.

Primal crushes all other social media platforms! You won’t want to use anything else after you download this application. If you enjoy freedom you’ll love Primal! Everything in this application is thoughtfully laid out and functional. If you want to engage on a social platform with others who understand/appreciate freedom along with the ability to send value in a peer to peer fashion…look no further.

The wallet is not set up as it’s displayed. If you send money to it, you will lose it. They give you an address that disappears and do not inform you in any way that it is temp or not fully created. Beware. UPDATE: Support got back to me and apparently the transaction sent went to node that was down. So, it appeared to be lost. Money was there the next day when the node was back online. All positive reviews make sense now. I will speak highly of support.

Nostr allows you to own your online profile and data. Don’t like the app? Pick up and move to another. You’re no longer locked in like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Primal is smooth, clean, easy, beautiful. Well done devs!
