Description
انطلق برنامج "شاعر المليون" في عام 2006، و هو برنامج مسابقة تلفزيونية للمنافسة في الشعر النبطي . ويهدف البرنامج إلى إحياء الشعر النبطي، والذي يعتبر مرتبط ببادية عرب الخليج العربي، من الناحية اللغوية والنمطية.
ويتألف البرنامج من مرحلتين: المرحلة الأولى تقوم اللجنة بتنظيم جولة في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وبعض الدول العربية لإجراء اختبار أداء المتسابقين. أما المرحلة الثانية فتكون في مسرح شاطئ الراحة في أبوظبي، حيث يتنافس المتأهلون للتصفيات النهائية من خلال البرنامج الذي يبث على الهواء مباشرة.
