As soon as I paid for this app it started freezing, glitching, and shut down my phone so I had to do a hard reset because my phone stopped responding while playing. This did not happen once but dozens of times. As soon as you pay the app stops working.

Remove draws or add option
The draw rule is utter bs, you’d be a move or 2 away from winning and it forces you to draw aka lose because you’re about to win, literally designed to ensure you lose and there’s no way to turn off this rule so you’re stuck with these draws that ruin your win rate.

Great “simple” chess app
This is a great “simple” chess app for when you just want to practice your chess skills without the annoying “extra features” and gimmicks. The level system is a great way to learn if you are a beginner. The only feature I would love to add is the ability to “save” your past games for later review. Currently you can only review your game immediately after playing. Afterwards, it is gone forever.

I downloaded the app, and when I opened it, all I found was an ad for another app, a game. There seemed to be no way out of the ad except to get it! I never saw a chess board, and now, even if somehow it starts working, I don’t like this app’s attitude! I just went back and tried again, and what I just downloaded from the App Store is just a fancy ad. I COULD NOT GET A CHESS BOARD, TO SAVE MY SOUL! What is going on here? I don’t want any app that is always pushing something on me. Sorry, but I am done.

Takes Over Phone
This app keeps freezing my phone. I cannot exit the app, turn off the phone, use emergency services, or anything else. It works most of the time, but when I cannot even turn my phone off or use emergency services there’s a serious problem. After the second time, I deleted the app off my phone permanently.

I paid the one time fee to get rid of the commercials, but I still get commercials after every game. Not to mention during play the app lock up regularly and I have to close it to restart. Also, it doesn’t work with green readers so be warned. You have to have an vision to play this game.

Fantastic Player Experience
Refreshingly, the developer of this app seemed to prioritize a positive player experience when creating it. Unlike other phone games (word games, card games, puzzles, etc) that clearly are designed to shove repetitive ads down our throats and do not work offline, Chess is awesome for offline play and watching ads BETWEEN matches (not during…looking at you, greedy wanks that publish Scrabble Go) actually rewards the player in the next match. Or, we can simply opt out of ads between matches. Thanks, developers, for giving us something to play and enjoy with some dignity.

My dad stared teaching me chess and wanted me to download an app to practice on. After I stared playing this game I have gotten much better at thinking over my moves and seeing set ups. I have not beat my dad yet but he says if I keep practicing I will very soon. I have only had this game for a few months so it’s a great game. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn chess.

i’ve tried about 5 others, this one is the best for me… if you’re a beginner, it’s perfect, other than teaching you how to move pieces, (it kinda does that , too, come to think of it!!) if you’re a hot shot chess player, it’s got a computer level for you …. PvP, i think it does that….. beginners who need tj win for ego purposes, this one has your back; i gotta stop , or they’re gonna hire me . Great Software, no wi-fi needed , GRAB THIS

Much better chess apps. This one will at least allow you to take back a move where a mistap on a tiny screen ruins the game but it won’t allow it for final moves. So if you accidentally make a move which would cost the game it’s over. Just get a different chess app this one is junk.
