Description
This app was developed and programmed by Gerson Rodríguez, a pediatric specialist. It is based on the following guidelines:
*Clinical Practice Guideline for Screening and Management of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents Pediatrics.
*Coulthard MG. Single blood pressure chart for children up to 13 years to improve the recognition of hypertension based on existing normative data.
Main Features:
It calculates blood pressure percentiles at all stages of childhood, from neonates to adolescents, taking into account factors such as sex, height, and age of the patient.
The results are presented in an intuitive way with color coding for each blood pressure percentile, including:
* Hypotension (Red)
* Normal Blood Pressure (Green)
* Elevated Blood Pressure (Orange)
* Stage I Hypertension (Orange)
* Stage II Hypertension (Red)
Additionally, the app provides guideline-based reference information for each blood pressure category and generates age-specific charts with clear thresholds to assist healthcare professionals in interpreting pediatric blood pressure values. The app does not replace clinical judgment or professional medical evaluation.
This app is versatile, compatible with iPads and mobile devices, making it easy to use in any clinical setting.
