Description
SubMed (Subtitle Media) is designed to help users effectively learn the English language through dictation, speech recognition, and quizzes.
## Features.
- **Subtitles**: Watch YouTube videos with accompanying subtitles and side-by-side translations.
- **Quizzes**: Users can take short quizzes to assess their understanding after watching a video.
- **Video Summaries**: Users have the option to read summaries of videos if they prefer not to watch the entire content.
- **Dictation Method**: Listen to English video clips and transcribe the spoken words verbatim. Dictation is an effective method for improving English listening comprehension, as it encourages users to carefully consider each word and sound.
- **Speaking Practice**: Practice speaking and pronunciation using speech recognition technology. After listening to a video clip, users repeat the content, and the app converts their speech into text for comparison with the original. Users receive scores based on the accuracy of their speech compared to the original content.
- **Translation**: Access side-by-side translations with subtitles while engaging in dictation and speaking exercises. The app supports translations in over 60 languages.
- **Vocabulary and Exercises**: Users can take notes on new words and phrases while engaging in dictation and speaking exercises. They can also practice exercises based on their vocabulary lists.
