What’s New Version 1.2.4

Fix crash on iOS 26

Description

BIO-key MobileAuth – The most flexible and secure way to authenticate BIO-key MobileAuth™ with PalmPositive™, FacePositive™, Push Token, and local biometric support provides fast, passwordless, secure access to your apps leveraging a mobile device. MobileAuth can be used for multi-factor authentication (MFA) or passwordless workflows. BIO-key offers the broadest range of authentication solutions to provide individuals with flexibility while meeting not only the security needs of individuals but also those of their employers or organizations who want to provide flexibility and convenience without sacrificing security. BIO-key MobileAuth works with BIO-key's WEB-key or PortalGuard Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-on (SSO) solutions to streamline logins while increasing security. BIO-key also supports Apple device biometrics such as TouchID/FaceID, for those organizations that want that option. Why use biometrics from BIO-key? BIO-key protects users from identity fraud and other abuse scenarios with biometric-based solutions, including PalmPositive™ and FacePositive™. Once a user registers their biometrics for palm or face, only the biometrically registered user can authenticate. BIO-key reduces the risk of fraud and unauthorized access to applications and sensitive data. Unlike TouchID/FaceID, which allows MORE than one user to register their face or fingerprints for access on a particular Apple phone or device, MobileAuth limits the registration to a single authorized user for specific apps managed by the PortalGuard IDaaS solution. This means that no additional enrolled users on the phone, nor someone who has SIM-swapped your phone number and even a hacker with phished credentials can authenticate into the apps and environments protected by BIO-key solutions. Only the intended and authorized user can authenticate. Availability: Once a user has registered, they will be able to work across the ecosystem and from any device without the need to register their biometrics repeatedly. Even if users get a new phone or lose their phones after a single registration with MobileAuth, WEB-key or PortalGuard will recognize their pre-approved MobileAuth authentication methods so they can access all centrally managed apps from a variety of devices, such as a new phone if theirs is lost or stolen if they choose to use MobileAuth™ with PalmPositive™ and/or FacePositive™. Convenience: Biometric authentication with MobileAuth™ with PalmPositive™ and/or FacePositive™ gives users the flexibility to buy a new phone when they want without worrying about re-registering and setting up security again. Non-transferable: Once a user's biometric traits are registered with MobileAuth™ with PalmPositive™ and/or FacePositive™, their traits are linked to a single, centrally managed user profile, which manages authorized access to managed apps. Security: Biometrics are extremely unlikely to be phished, stolen, or forged. Built-in liveness detection prevents imposters from using scanned pictures or fakes. Biometrics provide higher security than passwords or other popular methods of authentication. Accuracy: PalmPostive: Using BIO-key's palm scan is 400x more accurate than the standard user-controlled device-based biometric authentication methods in many phones and devices today. FacePostive: BIO-key utilizes 'Paravision' facial matching. For several years, Paravision has consistently achieved the best facial matcher scores on NIST tests.

Fix crash on iOS 26
Build 869632854v1.2.32024-10-29 05:02:51
With this version, BIO-key broadens support for non-PortalGuard IDaSS support with WEB-key and the use of FacePositive, Push Token, and local biometrics including native TouchID/FaceID. Please note that it still requires the on-prem install and access to BIO-key's Push Notification Gateway server in the cloud. FacePositive FacePositive uses a simple user-initiated face scan using the "selfie" camera to uniquely identify individuals. Once the initial "scan" takes a "picture" of the user's face it will create and secure the user's encrypted biometric template that will be secured in the cloud. The process assures the highest level of security across multiple dimensions while being touchless, fast, and easy. This assures that only the authorized and registered user can log in to the protected apps. Push Token This is the simplest and fastest authentication validation method and is recommended for MFA for apps that don't require strict access controls but are frequently used and speed is of the essence over security. The Push Token process simply requires the user to tap a button on the phone to confirm a login. Behind the scenes, it automatically generates and uses a secret code on your phone to securely validate that someone with the previously enrolled phone has authorized the login. TouchID/FaceID Use your device's built-in biometrics for streamlined workflows. Using the user's predefined iOS biometric lock (e.g., Face ID, Touch ID) to enable the user to authorize the login process may streamline access for convenient access for the users. Support Enhancement All users will now be able to access support immediately from within the MobleAuth app to resolve any questions or concerns by selecting the support option on the menu. Patented Cryptographic Enhancement The new cryptographic elements of v2 include the WEB-key client-server session, encryption, and packaging solution. A unique key pair is generated for every authentication session, so every data package is unique and cannot be replayed. Additionally, if a hacker cracks one encryption key, they cannot obtain any subsequent keys. BIO-key manages the sessions between client and server tightly, assuring all communications remain linked to the initial IP address, and the serial numbers of the WEB-key installs, assuring no injected packets from other outside sources can be processed. Get Started Start experiencing the benefits of fast, MFA-secure access today! Install BIO-key MobileAuth and activate it within WEB-key or PortalGuard's Account Management immediately for all your users who need flexibility and security. Note: To use BIO-key MobileAuth, you must have an active BIO-key WEB-key install or PortalGuard IDaaS account. BIO-key MobileAuth needs to be activated and linked to your account to work properly. If you do not already have a BIO-key account, please contact your IT support team. For licensing and privacy policy details, please visit https://www.bio-key.com/polices-and-legal/ .
