Description
MitID is your digital ID.
You use it when you want to log in, sign digitally and approve actions in various self-service solutions. If you need to approve on your mobile or tablet, you do it with a single swipe in the app. To authenticate on your computer, scan a QR code.
Activate your MitID
You can activate your MitID in your app by scanning your passport/ID card or with an activation code from Borgerservice. If you have a new mobile, you can copy your MitID from your old app.
In the app you can also...
View or change your user ID, change the mobile number you use for MitID, block or reactivate MitID, approve with a button instead of a swipe, or choose the app in multiple languages.
Have a spare MitID
Having an extra MitID is a good idea. If you happen to lose your mobile with the app on it, you can still use MitID.

If you get a new phone, you can activate MitID by downloading the app and then copying your MitID from the old to the new app. You just scan a QR code in the old app with your new phone. To prevent fraud, you will be prompted to enable Bluetooth to ensure that both phones are in your possession.
In this release, a significant portion of the app has been translated into Greenlandic. We have also added the option to switch sounds on/off along with other minor fixes.

The app has a new and updated menu, which you can find in the top right corner of the blue home screen. The menu is organized into four main topics, making it easier to navigate and find what you need.
You can now activate a MitID code display, audio code reader, or chip directly in the app.

Honestly, not every release is equally exciting. In the previous release, it became easier to activate your MitID on a new phone by copying from your old phone.
Minor inconsistencies have been ironed out in this release: timers now display day, hour, minute, second when counting down. The activation code texts have been revised. We have updated the certificates for passport scanning and improved the guide for face scanning.

Here is some good news. You can quickly activate your MitID on a new mobile by copying from your old mobile. The same update has also made it easier to help someone else activate their MitID using a QR code.
We have also added language choice (Danish, English and partially Greenlandic), settings for vibrations, time stamp for when users in the app were created, and made it easier to find the menu (look for the icon with the three lines). Hope you appreciate the good news.
