In the heat of the moment, as we frantically ransack the default emoji keyboard for a little yellow face, desperate to convey an emotion that we know is probably too subtle or specific to have warranted Apple’s official attention, we die a little inside when we realize the perfect emoji for this situation…doesn’t exist. We so often settle for default emojis that capture a mere fraction of our full intended meaning, and it’s understandable—no one has really set out to solve this super important first-world dilemma—until now.  Very Necessary Emojis is a project about unlocking a layer of who we can be, even if it's "just over text," because those of us who text a lot get it. We have needs! We have feelings we're trying to express here! We don't want to just throw out a crying-laughing face — we want to show you that your joke was 6.5/10 funny, and also kind of dumb at the same time (umm, for example, I mean). This iMessage sticker pack is for those who not only want more, but need more. And on that note, it's been just about five years since I released this emoji pack, and over 250 weeks of updates! Initially released with just 72 emojis, VNE now has almost 400, with a new emoji added every Friday. To all of you OG fans, thank you so much for enjoying this thing I made! And to all you newcomers, I'm so happy to say there's so much more to come!

VERY needed emojis
This is entirely worth it chat! Yes it’s more like a sticker than an emoji added to your board but it is SO needed. They have expressions added here that I didn’t even know I needed! It allows my texts to be more animated and more accurate to how I intend my texts to be. 10/10 highly recommend this. I shared it to my siblings too of apple users, 👌 never misunderstood a text since, and on the plus it added far more entertaining conversations with the emojis. Love it but can’t access it like an actual keyboard
I don’t know if I can get any support but is there anyway for me to see these on my actual keyboard so I can actually use them in text or can I only attach them as stickers. My friend has them in his keyboard when he swiped over to his stickers but mine don’t show up (I would insert an angry emoji here from the keyboard if I could access them on my keyboard ). Update: Still love the app…. Can we get air quote emojis? Either two hands or a few expressions throwing the hands up. Lots of opportunities to show “they said….” or “supposedly”. These are great. They are absolutely necessary. So are the Very Necessary Reactions for Tapbacks. Thank you for making them and keeping up with making more. Really appreciate you! I have a suggestion for one: the one sec emoji, but instead of smiling or preparing to expound on a concept, please make one with an annoyed expression, as in, yeah, yeah, hang on a minute. Hello there!! haiii!!!! I found this app like a year or two ago and it came in handy -not often- but sometimes! And theres this one emoji I wish existed but doesn't (somehow). The pirate emoji!! I'd base it around the cowboy emoji with a captain hat and eyepatch, with the hat using the same logo as the pirate flag emoji. Love it but Apple ruined it
I think it would be awesome if you guys made an actual keyboard for iOS like Bitmoji did so we can quickly get to the emojis and search for what we want. When Apple changed the structure around emojis and hid yours behind the stickers app it makes it cumbersome to navigate to and as a result I end up no longer using it. Nothing against you guys because you’re working with what you’ve got but I would really love to be able to navigate to an emoji before the conversation has already passed. Speed is everything when it comes to emojis. Just some food for thought. Thanks!

First off, love the app. Definitely lives up to it’s name. And I got some ideas for emojis. I think it would be hilarious if there was an emoji with literally just the UwU face. Me and my friend LOVE these emojis. They are freaking hilarious. We pretty much don’t even use the iPhone emojis. Our favorite emoji is the one where the emoji is side eyeing. love the huge library of emotions and actions, I’ve been looking for an app like this for a while. But I do have a few requests: can you add an emoji that’s like the viral “speed face” ? This app is the best sticker pack you will ever need! It comes in handy all the time, because apple doesn’t have ANY of the emojis they do! Not to mention it lives up to its name! Excited to use (…but)
I don’t see how to use the app. I tapped “open” on the App Store as I’m on the very necessary emoji page. It opens to an iMessage. I’m confused and a bit frustrated trying to figure out how to access thethe emojis. I’ve DMd the business on IG and waiting for a response. I love this app and I’ve shared it with many people. So many of the emojis are exactly what I’ve been looking for over the years. Could you make an emoji with eyelashes? So I have been using this sticker pack for a few years now, and it is definitely worth the price! My friends gape at me whenever I put one of the emojis down and frantically search for it in the emoji keyboard to no avail. I truly love this and will be using it for years to come! Update: We need some emoji that show some boredom. I was thinking of like the emoji head resting on the fist and the cheek is slightly squished because of how bored it is. iOS 26 issue
Since this is now a sticker pack instead of its own thing in the app drawer like it was a long time ago, with the addition of iOS 26, the stickers seem to have weird frosted glass boxes around/behind them when you hit send for some weird reason. This app has been such a fun way to add personality to my messages. I really appreciate that the developers encourage feedback and ideas through the reviews—it makes it feel like a true community-driven project. ****For the next round of updates, I’d love to request any and all of football and fantasy football–themed emojis. Things like draft boards, trophies, trade arrows, lineups, funny commissioner icons, fan faces, and all the little inside jokes that fantasy players would get. I can’t imagine my life without this. I use these emojis daily. They’re definitely very necessary. I love every single one of them and they’re all perfect for whatever you’re feeling. But if you could add just 1. I would pick an attitude hair flip eye roll emoji for when you’re just very annoyed and you just wanna flip your Luscious locks. Purchased these stickers a few years ago. When I use them, they sometimes emote exactly what I’m feeling, and I love that some of them are very meme-ish . I do miss the search bar that you used to provide. It helped for searching a specific emotion faster without having to scroll all the way, and trying to make sure I haven’t missed a sticker that could be used to emote what I’m feeling. Otherwise great product, and I love that there is continuous additions as well!!

I have some ideas though for example MORE pride flags and maybe a little pretty pink princess emoji and it can have color variations like blue,purple,red,etc. Also I heard this other guy’s/girls/persons idea for an assassin one and I personally think that’s such a GREAT idea so can we please get that in the addon pretty please! On another note, I do have an idea for an Emoji a bit on the spicier side. A “peach” emoji with a mark of teeth biting it. I LOVE this app, i love that yall recently reordered them back to their original places, so the similar ones are all together in sections, i have a new emoji idea, it’s a face that’s like dumb and looking forward with the mouth like partially open, drooling, so basically like brain working slow, just dumb face. thats all. i do also have a functioning suggestion that i feel like i can maybe speak for a lot of other users, i think stacking would be very helpful/useful/awesome, like being able to type multiple emoji stickers in the message text bar. that would be super great if you guys are able

love the app, but I really only am making this because i had an idea. So. At the very bottom of this sticker pack, there is the usual “lmk if you have an idea for an emoji in a review” that can also be used as a sticker. My idea is this..make it so you can make your own stickers shaped as textboxes with customized text inside them. you see it everywhere else on every other emoji/sticker app, but it always costs monthly or you gotta pay for each use etc. i was hoping that if that were something available on here, you wouldnt have pay because this itself already costs. just an idea.
