The Audio Guide App is the acoustic companion and guide through the rooms and halls of Schloss Ahrensburg. For over 400 years the snow-white palace has been a dominant feature of the city's image and, as Ahrensburg's landmark, links past and present. The museum shows and preserves the historical heritage and tells of life in times long past. Slippered visitors glide through centuries of luxury home décor. The ground floor is still characterised by rococo and early classicism; a magnificent rococo staircase leads to the first floor. Here the late 18th century, Biedermeier and historicism dominate the appearance. Amidst the different styles, all the palace rooms are characterised by their splendid furnishings: precious interiors with valuable panelling, parquet floors, stucco ceilings, exquisite furniture, crystal chandeliers, paintings and Meissen porcelain. You will be taken on a 60-minute guided tour of the castle with interesting and valuable information. The tour is not only about historical facts, but also provides insights into the everyday life of the castle's inhabitants. The audio guide is also available in English and for children.
