Subscriptions: In the latest version of miAlarm, we’ve introduced a limitation on the number of units you can add to your account. With the free version, users can add up to 5 units. By subscribing, you’ll unlock the ability to add up to 10 units to your profile. Terminology Updates: "Device Management" is now Settings across all screens. "Outputs" is now Smart Actions across the app. "Partitions" is now Areas across the app. Onboarding: New User Experience: First-time users now see a welcome screen with Login and Register options when no database is detected. Auto-login: Automatically logged in after successful registration. Multi-user Support: Choose between multiple users who have previously logged in. Biometric Authentication: Now supports fingerprint and face recognition for faster logins. Adding Device: Unit Setup Integration: Add a new unit directly during onboarding. Barcode Scanning: Scan unit barcodes instead of entering ID manually. Default Settings: Dial-in option is now enabled by default. Customisation: Emergency Contact Setup: Customize personal emergency contacts and official emergency services numbers (SAPS, Fire, etc.). Theme Selection: Choose between Dark and Light themes during initial setup. Unit Connection System: Multi-Device Connections: Free users can now connect up to 5 devices. Standby Connections: Units connect in the background with a valid usercode. Primary Connection: Select a unit to make it the primary connection and begin polling for panel info. Connected View: View the unit’s status as soon as the connection is fully established. Zone Loading: Zones load after information is available; users are redirected back to the Home screen if loading exceeds 30 seconds. Inactivity Detector: Automatically navigates away from the panel view after 30 seconds of inactivity. Heatmap View: New heatmap displays zones for a clearer overview, with the option to favorite it. Instant Actions (BETA): Instant Response: Actions like arming/disarming now appear to execute immediately in the UI. Background Processing: Commands continue processing while the UI updates instantly. Failure Notifications: Alerts when actions can't be completed, with future notification support. Note: This feature is being actively monitored for reliability. Device Settings: Edit Area: Edit area names in the settings view, if applicable to the unit. Guides: New help dialogs are available for Edit Areas, Smart Actions, and Zones views. Zone Selection: Zone selector dial replaced with a heatmap-style view. Sync Device Options: Sync unit information to retrieve the exact Areas, Smart Actions, and Zones for each edit view. Primary Panel: View Primary Panel: View the primary panel status of the unit. Add Primary: Set a unit as primary from the Primary tab. App Users: App User Management: Master users can now see a list of app users with access to the alarm panel. User Removal: Master users can remove non-master users from the panel. General Features & Updates: Silent Panic: Trigger a silent panic from the home screen if enabled on the unit. System Updates: A new System Updates view in the sidebar menu. Device Authorisation: Pending Authorisation: Review all pending authorisation requests. Requested Devices: View all devices you’ve requested access to. History: Access a history of all pending authorisations.

You will also get access to a direct silent panic which sends a panic signal directly to our servers and bypasses your alarm system Finally, you will get to enjoy faster connecting times as your primary panel will begin connecting from the moment you launch the app 2. Customizable Emergency Contacts Section: Add, modify, or remove your emergency contacts with ease. 3. Direct Panic Access with Emergency Contacts: Upon activating the direct panic alert, you'll be directed to your custom emergency contacts. You will be able to call your emergency contact directly from the app. 4. User Management: Assign a user to your alarm system.  Instead of receiving notifications like "Bypass by User 3", you can customise this to indicate a user name such as "Bypass by Jane".
