It’s a typical game
Alright imma keep this short and sweet for the sake of time. This is a really fun game and times, and other times it’s not. Which is why I’m saying it’s a 3/5. The characters, art, story, and music are all really nice. I love the gameplay for the most part. Now to the bad. There’s times the ball will just go through the net off of an opponent spike. Kinda annoying. Some chapters of the story are way too hard to three star. You have to basically play perfectly or have a fully maxed character in the game which is so hard. Personally, I feel like the gacha part of the game needs adjusting. I

The game is fundamentally very good. The gameplay loop is satisfying and very fun. It’s generally f2p friendly, but due to issues, I can’t say it’s super f2p friendly. Asmuch as I’d like to give it a higher rating, I can’t. There are so many abilities that are nigh uncounterable. For example, on lvl 20 Master Coliseum, the other team did 7 snipes on a row on me and didn’t lose ANY stamina after getting 5 spikes hit on them without getting blocked due to parry (I have 3 near S characters in my team). Here is a massive wall of text filled with pure, unadulterated frustration, written in English just as you asked. This game is an absolute joke and a complete waste of digital space. I have never in my life experienced such a broken, unoptimized, and utterly infuriating piece of garbage. The developers should genuinely be embarrassed to have their names attached to this disaster. Let’s start with the gameplay, if you can even call it that. The input lag is so atrocious that it feels like my commands are being sent via carrier pigeon across the ocean before they actually register on the screen.

The game is still fun, just that I mostly play for fun, and yet I have reached Masters rank, but I only reached it by doing basic things, the perfect recieve is not beginner friendly at all requires reaction time and prediction, which not everyone has, I try to predict the ball, but no matter how much I even get in the right spot and press bump to recieve, the game is just luck based and despite it meant to be a perfect, and fails and causes me to loose.

I have been playing the spike for a few years and I am always playing it. The events and limited S+ are awesome. It’s always fun seeing snd unlocking new skins, especially black nishikawa. Addition of nightmare arena to get more blue flames was also amazing but i still feel like there should be more ways to get balls other than leagues which are quickly beatable and the low yielding tourneys which you can do everyday.
