The main screen has been updated with a revised layout and improved visual structure to enhance clarity and navigation. In addition, the application icon has been redesigned to align with the updated visual identity of the app. These changes are part of ongoing improvements to maintain a consistent, modern, and accessible user interface.

This update includes seasonal configuration and content changes, transitioning the application theme from the Christmas campaign to Valentine’s Day. Visual assets and related elements have been updated to reflect the new seasonal experience. Additionally, improvements have been made to the authorized food list, including updates to the list of items available under the fish category. No new features unrelated to user experience were introduced in this release. The update is strictly intended to optimize existing behaviors, interface responses, and user guidance within Guest Mode to align with platform usability standards and improve overall app quality.

The update also includes a new dashboard that provides a clear overview of the participant’s progress, displaying the percentage of benefits already used and those remaining. In addition, users can now view their most recent appointment along with any upcoming or pending classes directly from the main interface. To further support benefit management, the app now shows the number of days remaining for participants to redeem their available benefits. These updates aim to provide a more transparent, informative, and efficient experience while maintaining compliance with program requirements.

We’re excited to inform you that a new feature is now available in the Mi WIC PR app: Participant Surveys This new functionality allows WIC participants to complete short surveys directly through the app, helping us capture valuable feedback about their user experience. The goal is to better understand how participants interact with the app and the services offered, so we can continuously improve the overall experience.

The MI WIC PR mobile app now includes eWIC Pay, a brand-new feature that allows you to manage and redeem your WIC benefits directly from your phone. With this secure and convenient mobile payment option, you can easily access your balance, view transactions, and pay at participating authorized stores — all without needing your physical WIC card. eWIC Pay brings flexibility, faster checkout, and a smoother experience to your daily routine

On this version we are implementing significant improvements in the appointments area, enabling users to easily coordinate and schedule virtual appointments. This new feature aims to provide a more convenient and accessible experience for our users. Also, we have upgraded the document submission process to allow users to submit documents via photo, gallery, and PDF simultaneously. This enhancement ensures a more seamless and efficient submission experience, accommodating various document formats effortlessly.

Additionally, in the online class section, participants now have the feature to receive correct answers directly on the platform. In this latest version of the mobile application, participants will have access to a comprehensive Nutrition Education section. This section is designed to provide valuable educational material that not only reinforces key nutritional concepts but also ensures compliance with the required interactive engagements necessary for the certification process.

In this version, we are significantly enhancing the biometric functionality to ensure users can access it more safely, easily, and quickly. These improvements include advanced security protocols, streamlined authentication processes, and optimized performance. Our goal is to provide a seamless and secure user experience, reducing the time and effort required for access while maintaining the highest standards of security.

This new release introduces a valuable functionality in the Nutrition Education section, allowing participants to select which family member will be assigned to a class. Additionally, it includes an account validation feature that checks for duplicate registrations using the same email address, ensuring each account is unique and preventing duplication

In this new release, we have improved user experience for Education and Nutrition classes, and online certificate.

In this new release, modifications apply for online and live classes taken by Participants on mobile app. In addition, participants certification status is updated for mobile functionalities.

MiWICPR has a new feature, as we continue improving our user experience. Now, WIC Participants can receive documents through the app mobile sent by WIC staff.

The WIC program helps safeguard the health of pregnant women, infants, postpartum, and children up to 5 years who have at least one nutritional risk by providing information on healthy eating practices are elegible, referred to other health services and support and information on breastfeeding. The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a public health program that offers Education in Nutrition, Breastfeeding and Supplemental Foods. It belongs to the Food and Nutrition Services of the Federal Department of Agriculture and in Puerto Rico is attached to the Department of Health.
