What’s New Version 1.4.1
Capture.U 1.4.1 provides you with more control over data capture and management. You can now select different frame rates for raw accelerometer and gyroscope sensors so you can record only the data you want! This also enables you to capture for longer durations - up to 55 hours of continuous data collection (low-g only). To help you to manage your sensors before and after capture, you can now also assign a name to each sensor, aiding in both sensor placement and data analysis.
Capture.U 1.4.1 also introduces hibernation mode, which helps preserve the health of the battery within the Blue Trident sensor between data captures, ensuring optimal performance when you're ready to collect data.

Welcome to Vicon Capture.U. Working seamlessly with Vicon Blue Trident sensors, Capture.U offers real-time data overlaid on video, enabling you to analyze movement in any environment.
Capture.U provides you with four options for collecting and analyzing raw data in the field:
- To Sensor: Capture data to sensor on-board memory (up to 20 sensors, unlimited range).
- To Device: Capture data to an iOS device (up to 14 sensors, depending on iOS device).
- Real-Time Insight: Stream real-time data to an iOS device, with video overlay (2 sensors).
- AR Visualization: Taking advantage of Apple’s ARKit , stream real-time IMU or joint data with video and skeletal (2D/3D) overlay (2 sensors).
Using these collection options, Capture.U lets you view graphical and statistics information in real time, and save video or export data as CSV or PDF files, for further analysis.
For a clinically validated biomechanical model, we recommend that you use an alternative motion capture method, such as a Vicon motion capture system with Nexus software.
Compatibility:
The Vicon Capture.U app is free to download and captures IMU data using Vicon Blue Trident sensors. It is compatible with only Vicon Blue Trident IMU sensors running firmware 10 and later. To use the latest version of Capture.U, the iOS device must run iOS 14 or later. To access AR Visualization, it must also have Bluetooth 5 capability with the bionic chip A12 and above.

In Capture.U 1.4, two additional modes are introduced with Learn.
Learn is an exciting new, interactive mode to go alongside Capture and Visualize. It features two components, Education and Practice, that enable you to build and expand upon their knowledge of Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs). Education is an interactive learning experience that enables you to not only understand the theory and technology within IMUs, but to learn about the measurements they collect and how to interpret them. Practice applies this knowledge as it guides you through the collection, processing and analyzing of IMU data during the measurement of specific human movements.

Capture.U 1.3.1 is the latest release of Vicon’s movement analysis software for biomechanical insights in the field.
It includes new features such as support for the Blue Trident Firmware 10 and enabling the retention of the calibration when you are capturing global angles. In addition, a number of issues reported since the last release of Capture.U have been addressed.

This update includes a new real-time augmented reality (AR) visualization mode, called AR Visualization. This enables sports scientists, coaches and physiotherapists to better understand athlete performance in the field. The Capture.U 1.1 update takes advantage of Apple’s ARKit 3, the ground-breaking AR platform for iOS 13. The combination of Vicon’s Blue Trident inertial sensors and the Capture.U app enables you to see 2D and/or 3D skeletal overlays on live video captured in the field. The joint angle values from the AR visual tracking skeleton can be exported alongside the Blue Trident IMU data providing the user an easy means of comparing this data.
For a clinically-validated biomechanical model, you are recommended to use an alternative motion capture method, such as a Vicon motion capture system with Nexus software.
