Description
With the ROADS route planner, you can find the most beautiful route for your next ride. Create a winding and scenic route between two or more locations with just a few clicks. ROADS is provided by Porsche and is available free of charge to anyone who loves driving.
Unlike conventional navigation solutions, ROADS focuses on discovering particularly attractive routes. Our unique route intelligence takes into account speed, curves and elevation as well as the real local road and environmental conditions. It also adapts to your individual driving preferences. This works both on in front your own doorstep and almost anywhere in the world.
With the integrated GPS navigation , the route can be driven directly with ROADS.

With this update, we have further refined the route creation section. As part of this, the display of the results has been expanded. This includes the elevation profile and the scenic points included in the route. We have also improved the quality of the AI-supported descriptions and titles, and routes can now be driven immediately after creation without having to be saved.
In the waypoint configuration, you can now specify for each point whether you want to drive directly to it or around it. The GPX import is now more reliable, and route generation has also been optimized, particularly with regard to the surface quality of the roads.

We are pleased to present the new ROADS update. With this new version, we have completely revised the area for creating a route. It is now much tidier, more structured and a suitable route is displayed more quickly.
In this context, there is also the new “Side-Trip” feature. This allows you to extend the time between two waypoints by up to 100%. This is helpful, for example, if you need more time flexibility when planning a tour. Many of you have requested this function recently. We hope you like it. To use “Side-Trip”, please simply click on the respective waypoints and define the desired time.
Many thanks also for the feedback on navigation. This version also includes an update for this. It improves navigation, reduces the risk of crashes and optimizes route creation. From now on, “gravel” roads will be explicitly reduced.

Creating a Tour is quick and intuitive: simply create a new Tour and add existing routes or generate new routes directly in the process. Each stage can be enriched with notes. The stages can be navigated individually. The new route assistant takes you either to the starting point of the stage or to the nearest entry point.

From now on, you will also find a prominent button at the top of the dashboard. This will take you to the new Power Search. In the Power Search, you can search and find all content on ROADS in a single place. And thanks to the multi-layered filter options, the search results can be further refined to suit your personal taste.

We have recently received a lot of constructive feedback on the navigation behavior in the app. Many thanks for this. In particular, a lack of flexibility was noted, which in some cases led to undesirable behavior while driving.
As we take your feedback very seriously, we have been working on a special project behind closed doors over the last few months. The aim of this project was to redesign the navigation in ROADS from the ground up in order to create a flexible and reliable driving experience.
With this absolutely mandatory update, we are making this navigation, which we have named PHOENIX, available for you to test for the first time. PHOENIX reliably solves all previous issues and brings a lot of fun while driving.
We would like to invite you to try out the new navigation system and give us your feedback. As we continue to work diligently on it in the coming weeks (including support for CarPlay), your feedback will help us move in the right direction.

"With this update, we have revised the entire route planning process. Thanks to thousands of POIs, it is now even easier to configure a tour. Each route now contains three driving options (Curvy, Fast, Balanced) from which you can choose. And for a quicker start to navigation, it can now be started directly from the planning stage without any detours.
If you want to share a route with your friends on WhatsApp, Instagram and the like, you can now create a personalized graphic thanks to the new assistant. Give it a try if you like.
In response to many requests, we have provided simple video instructions for the most important actions in ROADS in the FAQ section.
Many thanks for all the feedback on the last version. We have fine-tuned the route import so that the imported route is as close as possible to the ""original"".
