It’s a pretty nice app, although there is a significant amount of trolls on the app who join just so they can pop into a party and yell obscenities, there are users who do enjoy intellectual discussion or the exchange of culture. To be honest this new update is kind of annoying. I first downloaded this app in 2020 and I loved it. I did delete it and I downloaded it back in 2025. And I still loved it. It changed a lot since then. But it was still fun. And it still had the duo option. Which was the best part. I hate that they took away the duo option. I’ve been on this app since I believe 2018 maybe 19 and this new update is taking the fun out of the app. The fun part for me was shuffling through all of the channels, and never knowing what I’m gonna get. Has someone who’s been on the app for a plethora of years and have seen various updates from seeing accounts being added to seeing the sound button and changed into emojis to seeing the interface change I would definitely have to say that there’s new update is not liked nor favored by the community People have been complaining about everyone now knowing where they are as well as you are now not able to shuffle randomly there was no warning for this new update so that if people did not want it, who already had the app could have turned off their auto update. Not bad, few problems.
I’ve had this app for a while since 2022 I joined with my friend after seeing a video on TikTok. Sometimes when the ads come up, my speaker volume will go all the way up and echo. My other issue is the lack of response when I contacted support about my missing microphone button. I still have yet to receive a response or resolution to the issue.

This app is great when you meet the right people. It’s bad when you don’t. Overall great app but right now I can’t contact this app to try and save my account from going into oblivion. I just got a new phone and I’ve tried every log in on this thing I either get made an account or there is no account. I have had it since 2021 and met some people that I really enjoyed talking to and I would hate to lose that. So this isn’t really an honest review and I do apologize but I really don’t want to lose this account.

Couldn’t even experience it.
After downloading the app and creating an account, I couldn’t even get past the tutorial screen. After I press “Turn On & Off” I go to click the button under “You can turn your mic ON” and then the button does not work. I don’t understand why it does not allow me to press it. i’m assuming it is because I like nickname because I get a pop-up saying my nickname has been flagged or something.

It’s NOT what you think…
I thought I was going to download a Walkie Talkie app that you can join groups of interested people that are all talking and learning from each other. instead, the app tells you to start a trial by choosing a plan and then they charge you immediately in order for you to be able to try out the app. On top of that, they randomly connect you with a person one on one and most the time it’s a creep or racist.. if this is what you’re looking for this app is for you

I tried to use this app as a 12 year old, but it didn’t work because it’s actually used for 13 and older so wouldn’t recommend using this app so whoever made this app I generally think that you should change the age to 12 year old and older so I hope that you change everything now or you will never ever ever be hearing from this phone ever again and by the way this app is actually like trash and also I tried this and it McDonald’s and it didn’t work because I had my friends use this app and it did not work on them either so try and fix it now!

The Killer Subscription
No matter what it is. Entertainment/Games, Social, Private etc. Anything with a subscription, kills the app. We shouldn't have to pay monthly to do something a phone already does with a phone plan. I understand people who wanna make money off of anything, but this is 100% scam likely. The day ill pay for a subscription for an app would be the day that phone plans are NOT a thing and we get unlimited everything all year round. Needs better data protection and moderation
I loved this app until this creep, who was frustrated I wouldn’t give him info about myself, went and found my legal name out of nowhere. It was nowhere on my profile, and I haven’t given him any info that could’ve led him to find it. He somehow found it through your app. I was lucky that I had a very common name, but that could’ve gone so much worse. Majority of your users are underaged children and you need to take accountability and enforce an age limit and protect the user data better to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Where is the scan function?

Poor Management, Bad Updates
This app used to be really cool, but has been going downhill since 2020. Mods are not consistently around, which makes the frequencies suffer from poor mismanagement. Recently, Jamie and her staff performed a survey about what to improve. However, after updating the app, it appears none of the recommended changes were made. Instead, the entire UI went from decent to mediocre. The paywall is not worth $2.99, let alone $5.99. Wouldn’t recommend, nor pay for again. Lots of better apps out there.
