Phone Pattern Blocker uses wildcard patterns to block millions of unwanted calls with a single rule. Enter a pattern like 555-XXX-XXXX and every number in that range goes straight to voicemail. Your phone never rings.

Fixes a bug where the block list could appear to reset itself. If a sync failed on its very first batch — for example because Call Blocking & Identification was off, or iOS killed the extension early — the app kept retrying that broken sync every time it opened. It now clears stalled syncs properly so the next one starts fresh.
Also: cleaner rejection of patterns that exceed the maximum digit length for their country, and better behind‑the‑scenes diagnostics when you send feedback. Thanks to the customers who reported the reset issue.

Friendlier iCloud sync status. If sync was briefly interrupted (Airplane Mode, a dropped connection), the About screen used to show a confusing "CKErrorDomain error 2" message. It now simply says iCloud is reconnecting and confirms that your patterns and call blocking continue to work on this device: iCloud picks up where it left off automatically.

Your block patterns are now automatically backed up to iCloud and synced across your devices. Check the new "iCloud Backup" section in About to see sync status, how many patterns are backed up, and any iCloud issues at a glance. No setup required — just sign in to iCloud and it works.
Rebuild Block List
New troubleshooting option in About lets you clear and re-sync all blocked numbers with one tap. Use this if calls aren't being blocked correctly after an update or sync issue.

Phone Pattern Blocker now automatically detects and recovers when iOS resets its call blocking database (something that can happen silently after software updates or device restarts). Previously, the app would still show your patterns as synced even though blocking had stopped working. Now, periodic background checks verify your block list is intact and automatically re-sync if needed, so your protection stays active without you ever having to open the app.

This update fixes a bug when blocking large quantities of phone numbers! Version 1.0 had a bug that used too much memory in the CallKit blocking extension. That version loaded every number into memory, and it crashed when it went above a threshold of about 1,000. This version more efficiently keeps your block list up to date no matter how many blocked numbers you add.
