What’s New Version 2.2.4

This update makes call blocking more reliable behind the scenes: • Fixed an issue where the blocked-numbers count could show more numbers than were actually blocked. • Improved the reliability of syncing your patterns to iOS, especially for very large block lists. • Better recovery when iOS is busy updating your block list, so syncing is less likely to get stuck. • General stability and performance improvements. Thanks for using Phone Pattern Blocker! If anything isn’t working right, tap Rebuild Block List in Settings, or reach out. I read every message.

Description

Block entire area codes, exchanges, and spoofed number ranges — not just one number at a time. Phone Pattern Blocker uses wildcard patterns to block millions of unwanted calls with a single rule. Enter a pattern like 555-XXX-XXXX and every number in that range goes straight to voicemail. Your phone never rings. How it works: Create a pattern using X as a wildcard digit. The app generates every matching number and registers it with iOS's built-in call blocking. No third-party servers, no call monitoring — just native, silent rejection. Features: - Block by area code, exchange, or custom range with wildcard patterns - Allow list exceptions so important numbers always get through - Support for 195+ countries with international number formats - iCloud backup keeps your patterns synced across all your devices - Quick-start templates for area codes, exchanges, and neighbor spoofing - Import and export your patterns for safekeeping - Browse and preview every number a pattern will block Your contacts always get through. iOS never blocks numbers in your Contacts, even if they match a pattern. 100% on-device. Your patterns stay on your iPhone. The app has no access to your calls, contacts, messages, or call history. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. One price, not a subscription. Other call blockers charge $3–5/month. Phone Pattern Blocker Pro is a single purchase — block up to 1 billion numbers, forever.

Build 887829583v2.2.42026-07-07 11:50:54
This update makes call blocking more reliable behind the scenes: • Fixed an issue where the blocked-numbers count could show more numbers than were actually blocked. • Improved the reliability of syncing your patterns to iOS, especially for very large block lists. • Better recovery when iOS is busy updating your block list, so syncing is less likely to get stuck. • General stability and performance improvements. Build 885730606v2.2.32026-05-19 06:04:18
Fixes a bug where the block list could appear to reset itself. If a sync failed on its very first batch — for example because Call Blocking & Identification was off, or iOS killed the extension early — the app kept retrying that broken sync every time it opened. It now clears stalled syncs properly so the next one starts fresh. Also: cleaner rejection of patterns that exceed the maximum digit length for their country, and better behind‑the‑scenes diagnostics when you send feedback. Thanks to the customers who reported the reset issue.
Build 885634370v2.2.22026-05-14 05:13:41
Friendlier iCloud sync status. If sync was briefly interrupted (Airplane Mode, a dropped connection), the About screen used to show a confusing "CKErrorDomain error 2" message. It now simply says iCloud is reconnecting and confirms that your patterns and call blocking continue to work on this device: iCloud picks up where it left off automatically.
Build 885006708v2.2.12026-04-29 13:16:18
Fixes a freeze on iOS 26 when adding a new pattern. Tapping Custom Pattern, Neighbor Spoofing, or any of the area-code/exchange templates could lock up the app — every option now opens correctly. Thanks to the customers who reported it.
Build 884608624v2.2.02026-04-25 02:43:22
• Add numbers to your block list from the iOS share sheet • Share a screenshot of your Phone Recents and block every number on screen • Smart neighbor-spoofing suggestions catch whole spam ranges in one tap • Visual Intelligence integration on iOS 26: see and block numbers directly in Image Search • Everything runs on-device — no uploads, no tracking • Faster, more reliable sync with iOS
Build 884170110v2.1.02026-04-09 05:45:20
iCloud Backup & Sync Your block patterns are now automatically backed up to iCloud and synced across your devices. Check the new "iCloud Backup" section in About to see sync status, how many patterns are backed up, and any iCloud issues at a glance. No setup required — just sign in to iCloud and it works. Rebuild Block List New troubleshooting option in About lets you clear and re-sync all blocked numbers with one tap. Use this if calls aren't being blocked correctly after an update or sync issue. Bug Fixes - Fixed an issue where diagnostic reports were not being delivered to our backend - Improved reliability of the feedback pipeline
Build 883857522v2.0.32026-03-31 05:35:14
- Fixed an issue where Pro purchases could be lost — Some users were being asked to pay again after restarting the app. The app now correctly preserves your purchase status across launches. If you were affected, your Pro unlock will be restored automatically. - Restore Purchases is easier to find — Added a Restore Purchases button to the About screen, so you no longer need to hit the upgrade prompt to find it. - Fixed sync getting stuck after an app update — Resolved an issue where the call blocker extension could stop syncing after updating, requiring you to toggle it off and on. - Fixed patterns not syncing after editing — Changing a pattern's country code now correctly updates the blocked numbers. - Improved sync reliability — Fixed several edge cases where sync could stall or spin if the app was closed mid-sync.
Build 883718971v2.0.22026-03-25 21:03:04
Phone Pattern Blocker now automatically detects and recovers when iOS resets its call blocking database (something that can happen silently after software updates or device restarts). Previously, the app would still show your patterns as synced even though blocking had stopped working. Now, periodic background checks verify your block list is intact and automatically re-sync if needed, so your protection stays active without you ever having to open the app. This version also raises the upper limit to One Billion numbers! Enjoy!
Build 883441147v2.0.12026-03-18 20:08:07
Fixed a bug where syncing could get stuck at 0% for patterns that generate a large number of non-contiguous phone numbers (e.g. patterns with wildcards followed by fixed digits like 1415XXXXX00). These patterns produce many small ranges that exceeded the internal storage limit for cross-process communication. Syncing now handles patterns of any size reliably.
Build 882023657v2.02026-03-06 09:18:45
Phone Pattern Blocker 2.0 is the biggest update ever: MASSIVE SCALE — Block up to 500 million numbers. Entire area codes, full exchanges, even whole country codes. The old 2 million limit is gone. BLAZING FAST — Completely rebuilt blocking engine. Adding millions of numbers is nearly instant now. FREE USERS GET MORE — Free tier upgraded from 2 million to 5 million blocked numbers. PRO UNLOCK — Go to 500 million with a single one-time purchase. No subscription. No recurring charges. Ever. Launch special: Pro is $1.99 for a limited time (regular price $4.99).
Build 881688808v1.2.22026-01-22 03:32:41
International Phone Number Fix • Fixed a critical issue where patterns for countries like Vietnam weren't blocking calls correctly. Phone numbers are now properly converted to international format (E.164), so your blocking patterns will match incoming calls as expected. Block Spoofed Numbers • You can now enter extra wildcard digits to catch spam calls that add extra numbers to evade blocking. Helpful descriptions guide you on how to use this feature. Performance Improvements • Smarter updates mean the call blocking extension reloads faster when you add or remove patterns.
Build 881228609v1.2.12026-01-07 17:46:20
• Improved support for Vietnamese phone numbers - landline numbers now correctly support 11 digits (024/028 area codes with 8-digit subscriber numbers) • Updated phone number formats for 22 countries based on user feedback and research • Better error messages when the call blocking extension encounters issues • Fixed stability issues when processing large block lists • Minor UI improvements • New: Quick access shortcuts for "Silence Unknown Callers" - Get shortcuts to enable or disable this iOS feature instantly - Add to Control Center, Home Screen, or Action Button - Find it in About → Silence Unknown Callers Cảm ơn bạn! Thank you to our users in Vietnam for your feedback!
Build 880391510v1.22025-12-10 18:26:27
• Modernized UI with SwiftUI throughout • Added search and sort functionality for patterns • New pattern editor with live examples • Improved date display on pattern list • Better onboarding experience • Bug fixes and performance improvements
Build 831460293v1.1.12019-05-28 16:41:36
Speed improvement, and added a country code indicator around each pattern on the main screen.
Build 831138747v1.12019-05-06 16:23:38
Phone pattern blocker is now more capable of blocking a wider range of phone number patterns! The takes a pattern and generates every single number to add to your phone block list. Previously, the app could only handle generating a few thousand numbers at a time. The algorithm to generate block lists has been rewritten, and the app can now block any phone pattern you set (up to one million numbers).
Build 828688035v1.0.32018-09-23 14:59:49
Version 1.0.3 fixes a bug that would prevent any calls from being added to the block list when iOS asks for a full list of numbers.
Build 828089287v1.0.22018-09-14 15:09:16
This update addresses two bugs that could prevent Phone Pattern Blocker from successfully loading in all of your block list into CallKit. Phone Pattern Blocker is also now ready for the new iPhones.
Build 827880907v1.0.12018-07-16 19:07:21
This update fixes a bug when blocking large quantities of phone numbers! Version 1.0 had a bug that used too much memory in the CallKit blocking extension. That version loaded every number into memory, and it crashed when it went above a threshold of about 1,000. This version more efficiently keeps your block list up to date no matter how many blocked numbers you add. If you have any questions or need support, feel free to reach out through the app or to help@apparentlogic.com
