Usually good but bad recent update
It was a really good app, but a week ago they had an update that “improved” the reading experience, but it definitely is worse. I am on iPad and have to rotate my iPads every time I open the app to get the text to not be hidden at the top by the chapter number. Additionally, the formatting of my files in the reader itself is completely wrong and some text is missing, which obviously makes it unusable for now. Before this update, I loved the app.

I HATE the new update. Used to love the options for reading- I could turn off the animated page and the daytime options included different shades. Now the animated page is blindingly bright when in night mode. AND all the daytime options are a blinding bright white or pastel.

Great app, but update removed chapter progress
I love this app, use it all the time. The new update is nice as well, I like dark mode. But I miss the chapter progress that shows up when you single tap on the screen. Now it only shows total pages for the whole book. Bring back chapter progress!

Doesn’t auto save place
I’ve been using epub reader for a while, mostly because there’s very few other options, but here are the most glaring problems and why I wouldn’t recommend it: 1. DOES NOT SAVE YOUR PLACE IN A BOOK. You can use the bookmark feature, but otherwise if it’s been a little since you last opened it, it may just reset on you and bring you back to file explorer. Opening up any .epub just brings you back to the start. Huge problem and biggest reason I’m switching. 2. NO ACTUAL DARK MODE. Unfortunately, their darkest screen is mostly just a yellowish white. I wish they had a pure dark night mode.

Used to be good
I used to enjoy this app & I could download my epub books to downloadable music. I even used it for my school review. But now anytime I download something, it uploads the file but if it’s a book or music it won’t do anything. You can only view visual downloads like my school aid papers. Anything that requires a bigger file. Don’t even bother
