Description
Powered by National Rail Enquiries, Railboard is the best app for National Rail train times and platform numbers. Plus, you can save lots of money by finding super-cheap split train tickets on the app.
With Split Tickets, our clever algorithms find combinations of tickets that together offer the same journey but at a lower price than a regular ticket.
This is done by splitting regular train tickets at calling points along the journey. So instead of one ticket from A to C, you have two tickets from A to B and B to C. However, you stay on the same train as normal. There is no requirement to alight and re-board. And we do all the hard work to find them for you!
But that’s not all; Railboard has tons of other features:

As well as a few bug fixes and some general maintenance, this update adds a couple of new options to the Settings menu, which can be opened by tapping the side menu button in the top right:
● In the Tickets settings, you can now turn off the ticket-shaped confetti that showers the screen after successfully buying a ticket.
● In the Stations settings, you can now choose your preferred maps app. When you tap on a stop, you will have the option to open the station in this maps app.

Here are the changes in this update:
● Your chosen outbound and return dates in the Planner will now reset to “Now” if they would have been in the past when you next open the app.
● There’s a new button at the bottom of the Journey screen which opens the ticket options, so you don’t have to go back to the results to buy a ticket after looking at the journey details.
● There’s also a new button, “Find Tickets”, at the bottom of the Live trains tab results and train details screens, which is a shortcut for opening the Planner with the origin and destination stations already filled.
● And last but not least, you can now add any tickets you purchased as a guest while not signed in to your account using the new “Recover guest bookings” feature in the Account screen.

This update has an assortment of small changes and improvements:
● Most noticeably, there is now a button on the “Live trains” home tab, letting people know they can buy their train tickets through Railboard.
● We added a new regional railcard: the Heart of Wales Railcard, which offers up to a third off for journeys between Swansea/Llanelli to Shrewsbury via Llandrindod Wells.
● We tweaked how your seat preferences are listed on the Payment screen to make them look nicer.
● And last but not least, we made a small improvement to VoiceOver on the Planner results screen, to make it easier to open the ticket options available for a journey. (VoiceOver is the iOS screen reader used by people with visual impairments.)
