Description
Ultimate Game Guide is a great gaming and collecting resource for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Super NES).
The free version provides full functionality with complete information on 40 games for each system. Information for the entire library for each system is available via a one-time in-app purchase for each. Purchases are shared across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
This definitive source contains reviews and screenshots of all of the mainstream games released for the NES and Super NES between 1985-1998. Read about hundreds of fun and classic 8-bit and 16-bit games like Super Mario Bros., Tetris, Castlevania, Punch-Out!!, Ninja Gaiden, Mega Man, The Legend of Zelda, and many more. Featuring all licensed and unlicensed titles, the app provides details for each game cart: developer, publisher, release date, genre, availability, and more. It's all here, so Nintendo and video game fans alike can learn about all the good, bad, and interesting games in the large and impressive libraries!

IMPORTANT: Upgrading to this version 2.0 will erase your previously-stored collection data and require it to be reentered. We understand that this is an annoyance, but this is necessary since Ultimate Game Guide for NES and been rebuilt entirely from the ground up to be future-proof and to include new features not possible with the pre-existing version. Most importantly, collection data will be available when changing devices.
After a long production cycle, we are proud to release a massively overhauled version of the application.
2.0 Updates Include:
- Entirely rebuilt version of the application. This allowed us to address numerous bugs in the old version including crashing on start for users if the server could not be connected to.
- Optional online cloud saving functionality. Create a free account and your library will be saved online. Uninstall and reinstall, move to another device, and your data will still be there- just log back in.
- New genres added like Action-Platformer, Action-Adventure, Wrestling, Shooting Gallery, and Trivia
- Updated app game ratings and genres for dozens of games
- Display checkbox toggle for NA, PAL, HES, Asian, and Hong Kong games.
- Added international cart variants (European, Australia, Hong Kong, and Asia).
