Step into the shoes of your favourite cast of classy criminal characters – Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Mrs Peacock and Dr Orchid – and explore the iconic rooms of the Tudor Mansion, rendered in stunning 3D like never before.
Play against challenging AI opponents, or go online to challenge Clue/Cluedo fans from around the world. You can even set up a nostalgic games night with your friends and family in Private Multiplayer!
Whodunit? With what weapon? Where? There’s six suspects, six weapons, nine rooms, and only one answer…
HOW TO PLAY CLUE: CLASSIC EDITION:
1. Three cards are hidden away at the start of the game – these cards are the solution to the crime.
2. Each player gets three Clue Cards. These can’t be part of the solution, so they are automatically crossed off your clue sheet.
3. Roll the dice and move your token around the board.
4. If you choose to enter a room, you can make a suggestion. Pick who you think committed the crime, with what weapon and where.
5. Each player then takes it in turn to compare your suggestion against the cards they hold. If they have a card that features in your suggestion, they’ll tell you.
6. Cross off any cards other players have shown you and whittle down your list of suspects.
7. When you are ready, you can make an accusation! If your accusation is wrong, you’re out of the game!

Great, but…
I absolutely love Clue! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is that I wish there was a landscape orientation that I could play that looks like the Nintendo Switch version. Full player sheet on view at all times on the rightmost 20-25% of the screen, while the rest of the game was visible on the left. It’s hard for me to play without the player card being on full display all the time. I do love that it is cross platform with the Nintendo Switch version though!

I am a clue addict
However, unfortunately, last night I got the new iPhone 17 Pro. Because of the way the phone is set up I can’t see players 2, 3 and 4 whether they’re giving me a card or they don’t have it. The top of the phone block that off.

Love but…
Add more characters/character variants! I’ve been heavily enjoying this game, but I am getting a bit tired of the avatar choices. Also, it would be nice to see who leaves each game so I know if I am playing against a bot or not. Another thing is also that there are a couple of bugs that tend to happen as well, such as the game freezing randomly or the guesses going through every person, even if a player already showed their card.
All in all though, I do enjoy this game, I just feel there is room for improvement.

i really loved this game and the art style! It's awesome! A mixture of 3d and 2d graphics that don't look silly or clash with each other! The gameplay is simple, strategic, but so fun! A true classic in the vast majority of board games! Classic. Hard to dislike this game. Even if you’re not into solving crimes, you’ll enjoy it. If you’re having difficulties solving it on your first time, play it on easy and take your time so you get the concept.
I have nothing to add on what I dislike about the game. I do recommend playing against the AI as you’ll enjoy it more than playing against players who will likely guess in three or ten dice rolls.

I have the traditional board game too but this is fun, love effects, graphics, gameplay. Wish the extra characters, themes.. didn’t cost so much money, or at least give us the option to earn and unlock them in the game for those that don’t want to buy with real cash, maybe not all the characters but a decent selection that you can also earn. The lack of a time limit per turn in this game is beyond frustrating. Players can take several minutes each turn, forcing everyone else to sit and wait. This becomes unbearable when you have five other players just watching, and it can happen every single turn. To make matters worse, if a player goes AFK (away from keyboard), the game comes to a grinding halt because there’s no system in place to deal with absent players.

I love this game. It’s the exact same game as the hasbro board game, without having to roll dice or keep the clue sheet updated. The graphics and sounds are just enough to make it fun, and not so much that it overwhelms the senses.
There is just one thing- a pretty simple one- that I would change. Three times now, I have accidentally hit the “final accusation” button before I was ready. 😕 The button is right below the “end turn” button so it is easy to do. I really love the classic game of clue. My friends and family aren’t usually excited to play board games. It’s nice to have this really handy game in those times. I really love that you can change the boards and characters. I will say the upgrades are a bit pricey but you really can enjoy the overall feel of the game without them. My favorite is White.

I purchased all of the things with the $30 pack. I only have six of them now and I’m missing 4. I know that doesn’t sound like that big of a deal. It is kind of a big deal because I paid for them and then when I called they’re like oh I think he bought the individual packs and I asked him how much I spent and he said $34 and I said the math is not matching then. Fantastic App, Until a Severe Bug Ruined the Play With Friends Feature
Dear Marmalade Gaming, I purchased this app to play on all of my Apple devices with my family on the Play with Friends feature. I have enjoyed doing so until a severe bug ruined the Play with Friends feature a few days ago. Now, when six players are added to a private game, a growing green bar appears on the bottom of the host’s device, and starts the game despite the fact that the other players have not chosen their character yet. I bought this game a year ago and it was awesome! I did spend extra for the maps and cool character skins, but I thought it was worth it and it does add to the game for those who are obsessed with the board game. Unfortunately I found that recently it freezes and you have to find a new game. I’m not sure if it’s due to the software or if people intentionally take their time during their turns or quit. I purchased the game Clue November 13, 2020, and did an in app purchase of the Sherlock theme bundle April 9, 2022. I noticed a while back that I no longer have access to the Sherlock theme bundle — in order to play I have to purchase it again.
I clicked Restore Purchases under Settings several times on different days to no avail. Even though it tells me that “purchases are successfully restored,” it is not. I also delete and redownloaded the app, nothing. After redownloading I clicked restore purchases, nothing. I reported it as a problem, nothing, no reply from anyone.

The game is a great game to play if your going to be able to play in one sitting. If you have to play the game in multiple sittings you will be screwed. If you close the game and come back to it later your next dice roll will be a 3! It happens every time I play, with no exceptions. It limits my options when playing. I bought this and the other Clue app after really enjoying the Apple Arcade version for many months. Amazing art style, but some bugs
The app is amazing, I love how it’s easy and neat to use your note sheet, and I love the art style of all the characters and boards. Sometimes there are some bugs in the game like if the game doesn’t start, or one time there was two of one character. My only other complaint is that I got the Ultimate Detective Package I while ago, didn’t play the game for a year, and when I started playing the game again, it says I didn’t buy it, and I don’t have the star frame. I don’t know how to fix this but it’s not too big of an issue.

Single player mode is fun and works well with the exception of having the other player icons cut off on newer phones with Dynamic Island. The online mode is fun when it works, but it’s frustratingly buggy. About 50% of the time, the game will freeze at some point before the end of the game and I’ll have to quit. It’s not just slow waiting for other players; even waiting 5 minutes the game stays frozen. It’s very frustrating to have to quit a game after investing 20-30 minutes into it. I only play single player, so I can’t speak to the problems others seem to be having with multiplayer or online play, but I CAN speak to the awesomeness of this game overall (which I play 2 rounds of every night). The graphics are GORGEOUS and I love all of the boards (I bought them all!). If I could make a humble suggestion… you guys need to make a pirate board and characters! Please fix the glitches!
1. Please fix the glitches like the waiting rooms not loading, the game freezing, the gold sifter machine appearing in the graveyard in the Wild West board. I really like this game but it is extremely infuriating when these things happen and they happen ALL THE TIME.
2. Somethings not necessary but I think would make the game more fun.
-make it so you can play with friends AND other people online. Right now the only option when playing with friend when you don’t have enough is to play computers and the computers are stupid.

Classic game, frequent freezes and crashes
Great game, beautiful artwork and animations. Unfortunately there are freezes for several minutes almost every game, and occasional crashes. Also, an incredibly glitchy online queue, that will often freeze or is completely non-functional. When the game works it’s good fun, but frankly it is non-functional more often than not which makes it incredibly frustrating. It’s the most glitchy and broken app I have ever used. I updated my review since they recently fixed the in-game freezing, but now the queue is so broken, it’s nearly impossible to get in game.

In theory I love that you can play anonymously with other people online but it’s very glitchy and will freeze often. For example: someone made a suggestion and I had a card to show - when it got to me it froze for about six minutes before prompting me to show the card I had. I “showed” it, and then got another prompt saying I was running out of time to show a card. My timer ran out, the game stayed frozen, I finally quit after another six minutes. It’s definitely not my internet, I have VERY good wifi and never have connectivity issues with any other app or device. Please fix this!!!

A few glitches
Every once in a while, it takes a few tries to get a game going; sometimes the app won’t work for days, indicating, for example, there is no wifi connection, when, in fact, there is. Sometimes games freeze up entirely, or there are significantly long holdups, apparently to reestablish connections. It would be nice if one could enter numbers in various colors.
I received a nice email from Marmalade indicating they are working on the freeze-up problem, but I am currently unable to get a game started, as it appears to be frozen in the sign-in process.

Easy mode
I would rate this higher except when the computer players are set to easy they never solve it. There have been a few times when they had all 3 things figured out but never made the final accusation. The next turn I solved it. It would be nice if I was beat once in awhile.
Also it would be nice if we could put in some kind of note on the items we have in our hand. I like to keep track of who I have shown cards to and what they are.

Love this game!
This is the best game I’ve ever played online. The graphics and sounds are fantastic. The upgraded version for more play boards and characters is a bit pricy, but you get lost in them if you can afford to upgrade. The game requires skill and also requires a bit of luck, the perfect combination for a really fun, distracting game. The only problem is it keeps locking up for extended periods of time, and sometimes never seems to unfreeze, which is so annoying after one has worked to build the clue card and is close to winning! I hope this can be fixed!!

There seems to be a glitch where you tap to mark a note at the same time the other player shows their card. It just shows up as blank and I cannot make a note of whether the person has the card or not because it is blank. Also, I would REALLY love an option to hide the gold ultimate detective badge because for some reason, players tend to run away whenever I join a room to the point where playing is not as fun. Too many unresponsive players
When playing online, it’s rare to find players that play when it’s their turn. There should just be a timer at all parts, even if taking notes. If they take too long, skip them! Keep having to quit games due to this. Also, when I join a game online 80% of the time the lobby doesn’t show my name, but shows multiple open slots “waiting for player” but never letting me choose a person or ready up. I have to close the app and reopen.

I play on iOS and this is the ONLY game I choose to play .. when playing in single player the game works great but when playing online the game is SUPER glitchy. Examples: game takes forever to load, game gets stuck mid play, can’t roll dice, can’t press continue button to resume play, etc. I understand when playing other people they may click out the game or quit during play which possibly results in why the game functions like this but is there anyway to get an mpc or computer player to load as soon as someone quits or anything else that would help this issue?
